One by one, on successive days of the week, six different colored blind mice investigate parts of the strange something near their pond and speculate to the group about its identity. Not until the seventh day, when the seventh mouse examines all of it, do they see what it truly is, proving that wisdom comes only from seeing the whole.
Reviews:
"B.D. Wong's lively narration and spunky background music add to the appeal...a springboard for discussing colors, numbers and the adage that 'wisdom comes from seeing the whole'." - Booklist "intriguing music...gentle narration...fantastic animation..." - ALSC Notable Video and Audio Committees "Young's striking primary-colored illustrations on black backgrounds are brought to life with animation and hypnotic background music." - School Library Journal "Featuring a fine-Eastern-influenced soundtrack...Recommended." - ***, Video Librarian
